Unlike most browsers, Vodou doesn't keep a list of pages you've visited, and there's no History menu to search through. This is a deliberate privacy choice, not a missing feature: Vodou's browsing profile is off-the-record, meaning your visited pages, cookies, and cache all live in memory and are gone the moment you close the window — see How Vodou handles your browsing data for the narrow exceptions.

What "history" does mean in Vodou

  • Per-tab back/forward. Each tab remembers the pages you visited in it, so Back and Forward work normally — but that memory belongs to the tab and disappears when the tab closes.
  • Visited-link coloring. Vodou tracks which links you've clicked for the current session (so they render as "visited," the way any browser does), and this is wiped along with everything else when you clear browsing data.

Getting back a tab you closed

If you closed a tab by mistake, Ctrl+Shift+T reopens the most recently closed one for the current session. If Vodou closes unexpectedly (a crash, a forced quit), the next launch offers to restore your open tabs — see Vodou won't start for more on that recovery prompt.
